Green and Clean ways to celebrate Valentine's Day

From Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, come the 12 days of Green and Clean Valentine’s Day romance.

Day 1 - Heart cut outs that say, “Litter away!”

Day 2 - two coupons for coffee refills when you bring in your refillable cup.

Day 3 - three love songs that express your sentiment about a tree, shrub and flower filled and

litter free urban environment.

Day 4- four love poems, on scenic Vermont postcards mailed to those you love.

Day 5 - five terms of endearment to those businesses that incorporate Green and Clean into

their business mission.

Day 6 - six chocolate candy hearts to sweeten the reward for a job well done after you and your

walking partner finish picking up litter on the street while you walk.

Day 7 - seven potted flowers to color your house interior. Transplant them outside in the spring.

Day 8 - eight heart shaped cookies to your loved one who recently quit smoking.

Day 9 - nine support message heart candies, to your loved one who is trying to quit smoking.

Day 10 - ten reasons for loving a Green and Clean sidewalk, city street, park, bike path, and

neighborhood.

Day 11 - eleven Hershey's hugs and kisses for your children when they carry a wrapper home

and dispose of it in the garbage instead of littering the street.

Day 12 (Valentine's Day) - twelve ways to say "I Love You" to those who help maintain a green

and clean community here and those who are in distant lands helping to keep our

treasured lands free.

The 12 green and clean days were inspired by the “12 days of Romance” by Katie Sparrow @ http://www.theromantic.com/stories/valentines/valentines13.htm.
