Growing Young Gardeners - Flowers & The Frightened Frog

Growing Young Gardner's Club.

Flowers & The Frightened Frog.

The Growing Young Gardeners Club

met for the sixth session at Wheeler Park on 1100 Dorset Street in South Burlington, Vermont on July 16, 2015.

The Growing Young Gardeners Club is
collaboration with the Machia Wilderness Camp
and the Burlington Garden Club

Flowers & The Frightened Frog.

Most of the Growing Young Gardeners Club youth were at camp this week;

those able to attend were treated to a wonderful story titled The "Frightened Frog", read to us by National Garden Club member Rita Langlais. We were surrounded by many blooming flowers that adorn South Burlington's Wheeler garden park.

The Frightened Frog , an environmental tale, written by NGC members Brenda Moore and Jean Ohlmann, with illustrations by Emily Lackey, is a cross between Bernstein Bears and Dr. Seuss.

Thank You Rita for a most animated reading of this lovely, informative, and funny story.
