Safety reminder: Green Up Day and any time spent picking up litter; follow common sense safety guidelines including but not exclusive of these:
Green Up Day Safety Advisory
v  Be Tick Smart: Repel, Inspect, Remove
v  Risk Alert: Avoid materials that appear to be hazardous toxic waste. When clustered together items like ammonia tanks, common cold pills, Muriatic acid, Freon or starter fluid, "Heet" brand gasoline additive or rubbing alcohol could be waste from a meth lab.
v  Call police if you see possible meth labs, a found, closed safe, anything that looks like the police should know about it.
v  Stay away from homeless camps!
v  Don't try to pick up small pieces of broken glass or unusually awkward trash - It's important to take care of yourself and your group!
v  Wear bright-colored clothing so that you are easily visible to passing motorists.

View the video of my April 20 Clean City litter control presentation to the City Council on Channel 17  @ https://www.cctv.org/watch-tv/programs/south-burlington-city-council-272 beginning at time lapse 58:12. What is your opinion of this recommendation?
