Vermont backyard flowers, July 2014

We didn't plant anything in this raised bed, however these flowers took advantage of the vacancy.

Congratulations to all the winners and runner ups in SEVEN DAYSIES (The locals' 2014 guide to Vermont).

Makes me hungry for a Creamsicle

Hmm, which is the male and which is the female?

                   A fresh rain to
                                                   cleanse the soul
Today the flowers drink, tomorrow they shine.

                                                                                                           Look

 w
what the stork dropped for us.
                                                                                                Omelet anyone?

Now I just need to find a Zuchinni bread recipe.

Lots of yellow squash this summer.

Can you spot all the six drip locations of my little waterfall?

Well fed chipmunk. Eats our cherries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries,  black raspberries, and red raspberries.

Don't know the name of this clover like plant, however it was a childhood favorite of mine- taste lemony and tart. Seems to be an abundance of them in our yard this year.

                    Possibly a hummingbird moth.

                                                     Whats
                                               a guy
                                                       have to do

to get a beer around here?

  1. Bernie you have quite the green thumb. Thanks for your beautiful flower photos. How about that cute chipmunk face (not the picture of the guy with the glasses and soup strainer) how could one begrudge this little guy a berry or two. Glad that you seem to tolerate him. Have a great rest of the summer.
